Coming to Las Vegas in October and wondering how to celebrate Halloween in style?
Often referred to as the World’s wildest Halloween party, the Fetish and Fantasy Ball has been running for the last 23 years and plays host to around 6,500 party goers. It is one of the most popular events of the social calendar in Las Vegas, not just for fetish fans but for anyone who loves to experience the most extravagant Halloween parties.
In this feature, we take a look at what the ball has to offer, what you can expect and how you can get tickets. We also provide you with all the information you need including when, where and how much.
What is the Fetish and Fantasy Halloween Ball?
Maxim Magazine has dubbed the ball ‘one of five events to attend before you die’ and Las Vegas Weekly says ‘it is the most adult of the adult Halloween events in Vegas’.
Originally launched in 1996, the event is an annual celebration held around October 31st that is aimed at an adult audience. It is a sensual party zone held in the heart of Las Vegas that sells out its 6,500+ tickets. The event is one of the world’s largest Halloween balls and must surely be one of the wildest.
Further praise for the event comes from some other celebrated popular culture names, including:
- ‘One of the Earth’s Best Bashes’ – Stuff Magazine
- ‘The one party you don’t want to miss’ – The L.A. Times
- ‘One of the most outrageous, bizarre and risque Halloween parties in the country’ – Robin Leach
- ‘One of the Top 10 events in the world’ – The Travel Channel
- ‘The World’s wildest Halloween party’ – Bizarre Magazine
The venue is divided into four zones:
- VIP area
- Waste Land
- Red Room of Pleasure
The VIP area is restricted to those guests who have purchased a premium ticket and often attracts celebrities.
The Waste Land is where the main stage is located and where you will find most of the acts performing during the evening. Music is a mix of Old School, Top 40 and Mash Ups and is a celebrated space for timeless dance classics.
Booked to perform at this year’s event are DJ Twin, Darrell Sherrod, DJ Exodus, Kai Curtin and DJ R.O.B.
The Insanitorium is more of a human petting zoo but is also the space for EDM (Electronic Dance Music) and House tunes.
The 2018 event will host DJ Stellar, Scooter and Lavelle plus Made Monster.
Red Room of Pleasure
Featuring the X-Stage where the audience get to participate in the thrills, the Red Room of Pleasure is more of an interactive zone and is where you will find the numerous vendors on site.
Guests can be suitably chastised on the main stage in front of the huge audience.
Confirmed vendors for 2018 include Lady C Leather, Liquid Red, SIQ Clothing and The Peculiar Magpie. More than two dozen stalls are offering a range of dungeon equipment, fetish goods, knick-knacks, lingerie and adult toys so don’t forget your plastic.
What Rules Are There at the Event?
Though the ball is mostly a frisson, there are some rules that are strictly adhered to and you would be well advised to observe unless you want to be removed.
The first, and very important one, is the dress code (see below). Guests who do not play ball or try to be party poopers will not gain admittance; no refunds, no discussions.
Secondly, there is no nudity and no lewd activity allowed on site. This is not a sex club or a swingers party and although the atmosphere is very erotically charged, carnal behavior is not acceptable.
No professional cameras are allowed in the event and no video recorders. Event staff do keep a close eye on what people are trying to photograph or film on mobiles and you will be given a warning or your phone/camera confiscated if you do not play ball. Our best advice is to leave your camera and phone behind and live in the moment. Plenty of professional pictures are taken throughout the night which you can find online after the event.
What is the Dress Code for the Fetish and Fantasy Halloween Ball?
It is strongly recommended that you check out the website to have a look at the photographs from previous events and look at the costumes that are worn. The dress code is not optional and is a big part of what makes the event so special.
Costumes are recommended as well as fantasy or fetish wear, including uniforms or materials such as leather, latex, rubber and PVC.
Formal wear is also acceptable and for ladies this means gowns and tuxedos for men.
Revealing costumes and/or lingerie may be worn but remember that nudity is not allowed. Unfortunately, liquid latex and pasties are no longer allowed nor is the wearing of realistic genitalia!
Lastly, irrespective of the outfit worn, no fake costume weapons are allowed including guns, swords etc no matter how ‘plasticky’ they are.
The site does have a coat check facility so you don’t have to ride the local bus in your skimpy costumes.
Lastly, there are also vendors on site that sell a range of accessories, toys and masks to add to your costume upon arrival.
